The Farm, Wildlife and Vegetation

The farm is managed entirely for conservation purposes apart from the olive grove of 600 trees.
Guests are welcome to take a farm walk through the olive groves, enjoy the panoramic views, the garden and the farm nature reserves. The walk from the entrance gate to the northernmost point is about 2 kms which provides a good 4 km return distance.
The large farm dam about 800m from the cottage is a pleasant destination for a stroll and a tranquil place to sit and chat or read in the rustic gazebo. There is a BBQ available at the dam.
Kangaroos will usually be encountered on an evening stroll.
Sugar gliders are present in the woodland and with luck and patience they may be seen at dusk or dawn. They are familiar with people and easy to interact with.
The extensive bird list comprises over 75 species and is available on request.
Several species of reptiles are resident and with luck you may see one.
Please observe but do not interact in any way.
The plant list is diverse and includes some rare and endangered species. Copies are available for those interested
Guy's Cross is a working farm and as such has inherent dangers. Guests are urged to take sensible precautions around the farm sheds and machinery and whilst walking around the property.
